Service Manager (SEA, Tuas, Automotive)

Job description

As a Service Manager, you will manage resources, assets, and customers of the service department to meet financial targets and customer service expectations. Aim for growth in service customers and minimize customer churn.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee performance against forecast for Service Department and prepare forecasts and budgets.
  • Conduct monthly management meetings.
  • Achieve service revenue budget and manage outstanding debts and monitor running costs of company assets.
  • Manage Green Tag % to meet Company Objectives.
  • Control service cost on rental trucks.
  • Conduct contract profitability analysis.
  • Recover mishandling and abuse repair cost for rental trucks.
  • Manage department performance through the GDR scorecard.
  • Identify staff development needs and provide training.
  • Ensure adherence to company processes and policies.
  • Participate in company safety initiatives.
  • Allocate resources for safety purposes.
  • Ensure prompt reporting of product incidences/issues.
  • Understand and address customer needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Use a consultative process for the Department Enterprise Agreement.
  • Organize recruitment activity to fill vacancies as required.
  • Manage recruitment processes from interviews to placement of new staff.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in a regional role.
  • Leadership experience with profit and loss accountability.
  • Background in the Industrial/Capital Equipment industry.
  • Experience managing field employees and understanding of mechanical and technical aspects in a service environment.
  • Familiarity with AS400 system is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
