1 year contract Assistant Financial Controller

My client is a reputable legal firm with an international presence. They are looking to strengthen their finance function by adding an Assistant Financial Controller (1 year contract) to their team.

You will be collaborating with HR on monthly payrolls, supervise the Accounts Payable function, assist with billing queries, month end and year end closing while supporting the Financial Controller on other ad hoc tasks.

To qualify, ideally individuals must:

• Be an experienced Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) with minimum of 4-5 years of managerial experience.
• Relevant experience in the legal / professional services sector is preferred
• Proficient in the use of excel and the use of basic function
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal clients - must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build confidence, trust and respect amongst partners and managers
• Strong service orientation with attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Organised and driven to achieve efficiency
