Role Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity for a hands-on technical professional to contribute to the growth of advanced additive manufacturing technology across the Asia Pacific region. The Application Engineer will play a critical role in supporting sales initiatives, executing pre- and post-sales technical activities, and ensuring high-quality customer experiences through application development, troubleshooting, and training. The role involves both domestic and international travel to support clients, deliver training, and engage in collaborative application projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support regional sales efforts with pre-sales technical input, including feasibility studies, build time estimation, and benchmarking.

  • Operate and maintain additive manufacturing machines, ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.

  • Prepare build data using AM software and CAD models for application trials.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve part quality issues, acting as the first-level technical support for customers.

  • Deliver high-quality application training and continuously improve training content based on evolving product knowledge.

  • Document application challenges, customer feedback, and relevant updates for internal knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate on application projects to create case studies and demonstrate solution capabilities.

  • Provide regular reporting on progress, outcomes, and technical challenges.

Ideal Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Automation Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Proficient in CAD software and AM software for 3D printing applications.

  • Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes, particularly metal-based technologies like Laser Powder Bed Fusion, is a strong advantage.

  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and set up computer systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Able to work independently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

  • Willingness to travel frequently across domestic and international locations as required.
