Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer (FSE), you will play a vital front-line role in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through direct engagement and technical support. Acting as a key technical representative, you will be responsible for machine installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing service support across your assigned region. With a strong customer-centric mindset, you will collaborate with both internal teams and distributors to provide reliable, timely, and knowledgeable service that strengthens long-term customer relationships and brand loyalty. The role requires frequent domestic and occasional international travel within the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain detailed logs of machine status and perform timely service visits to ensure operational continuity for customers.
Coordinate closely with the APAC Customer Service team and global headquarters to manage service tools and spare parts availability before and after each service visit.
Provide technical support and training to regional distributors to enhance their capabilities and ensure consistent service quality.
Oversee site readiness for new machine installations and take full responsibility for machine assembly, alignment, commissioning, and user training.
Conduct on-site maintenance and address operational issues to minimize downtime.
Participate in customer meetings to discuss service schedules, installation progress, or repair updates.
Manage and maintain an inventory of essential spare parts to support regional service needs.
Enforce compliance with safety procedures related to fire hazards, electrical safety, and powder handling during operations.
Work collaboratively with the global engineering team when higher-level troubleshooting support is required.
Primarily support your assigned territory, with occasional travel across the APAC region as delegated.
Ensure accurate data entry and follow-up within internal service systems (e.g., service ticketing platforms).
Ideal Requirements
Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields) preferred.
Hands-on experience in field service roles, especially involving industrial or high-tech equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to recommend appropriate spare parts and repair strategies.
Familiarity with CRM or FSM platforms for service logging and ticket management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers, internal teams, and distributors.
Highly organized with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned country and occasionally across the APAC region.
