Accountant

My client is a reputable firm within the food & beverage sector and they are looking to add an accountant to their finance team.

You will be specialising in the accounts payable and general ledger functions. In your role, you will be taking total ownership of the GL function, ensuring timely and efficient reporting across prepayments, accruals, payroll related liabilities and fixed assets management. Other duties include quarterly GST submission, monthly balance sheet reconciliation and month-end closing of the books.

You will play a role in management reporting and analysis, while working closely with different stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of the accounting team. Your expertise will be tapped on to assist in the redesigning of new processes and the implementation of new systems and year-end audit and tax activities.

To qualify, ideally individuals must:

• Be an experienced Accountant with minimum of 5 years of experience.
• F&B/Retail/FMCG industry knowledge.
• Have stakeholder management experience.
• Relevant knowledge in Navision/Netsuite System is preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion
