As an Assistant Corporate Secretary with this global Asset Manager, you need to have experience as a company secretary with solid knowledge in ACRA regulations and the Companies Act

Job Purpose

The role will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Secretary for all entities in Asia including Singapore, China, Japan, Hong Kong, India and South Korea with regards to:

  • preparing all briefing memos to the company directors in a timely manner
  • preparing and reviewing all board minutes and the associated board packs
  • providing support to the Corporate Secretary to run the corporate secretariat in an efficient manner
  • ensuring that all documentation in connection with the corporate secretariat are accurately stored, filed and retained
  • ensuring the timely preparation, review and sign-off on board packs is obtained in good time to meet challenging deadlines

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure day to day smooth operation of the Corporate Secretariat function across Asia
  • Prepare board briefing memos and assemble board packs in good time to meet deadlines
  • Record, track and monitor progress on all open items
  • Ensure efficient coordination of required functional inputs and sign-offs is obtained in a timely manner
  • Develop good working relationships with team members
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence
  • Understand the context and think about the issues impacting board packs and board minutes
  • Ensure all documents are retained in a suitable manner
  • Ensure compliance from a corporate secretariat perspective with respective laws, regulations and filing requirements.

Qualifications Required:

  • 5 to 8 years relevant work experience
  • Relevant professional qualification preferred but not essential
  • University degree in law or related field

Experience Required:

  • Prior real estate, infrastructure or general fund administration experience preferred
  • In depth knowledge and experience of Singapore Companies Act and ACRA filing requirements
  • Prior corporate secretarial experience required
  • Sound knowledge of legal principles and mechanics of corporate decisions
  • Solid computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
