Assistant Manager/Manager, Trade Finance Operations

Our client, a local bank, is looking to hire a Doc Checker/Trade Operations, Assistant Manager/Manager to check Import & Export documents drawn under LC and liaise with customers on document discrepancies and provide appropriate advice on rectification and further handling. Further, to follow up and attend to acceptances/payments, dishonor of documents and issue rebuttals if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Highly conversant with general LC practice rules (ie UCP600, ISP98, ISBP and URR725), expert opinions and legal decisions
  • Familiarity with LCs for the commodities trade (energy, hard and soft commodities) would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of trade finance with the ability to evaluate options and provide solutions
