Aviation Equipment Manager

Job description

Role Overview:

Lead engineering and project management for GSE and specialty equipment, ensuring design, quality, performance, and timely delivery. Serve as main technical and stakeholder point of contact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement and refurbishment programs for ground support and specialty vehicles.
  • Define and oversee equipment specifications, manufacturing quality, and factory acceptance tests.
  • Align cross-functional teams on project risks, sustainability, and refurbishment activities.
  • Monitor program performance, budgets, and timelines.
  • Chair or support technical evaluation committees for procurement.
  • Analyze equipment performance and operator feedback to optimize safety, quality, and total cost of ownership.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Bachelor engineering degree with 10+ years in technical and management roles for large-scale procurement, refurbishment, or maintenance projects.
  • Experience in aviation ground ops, ground handling, aviation maintenance, transport, or industrial fleet management.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic, electronic systems, engines, electrification, predictive maintenance, automation, or autonomous systems.
