Business Operations Manager

Job description

Our client, a leading fintech organization in Singapore, is looking for a Business Operations Manager to drive strategic and operational initiatives across the business. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will work closely with senior leadership to bridge strategy and operations, ensuring key initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to the company's goals. You will also play a key role in optimizing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and cross-functional collaboration.

In this role, you will lead the PMO function and manage strategic projects across the business. You'll develop and implement frameworks, processes, and tools that ensure projects are executed consistently and effectively. This includes overseeing project portfolios, monitoring performance, managing risks, and reporting progress to stakeholders. You will also translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans with defined milestones and accountability, driving results across teams such as Product, Technology, Marketing, Compliance, and Partnerships.

As a key business partner to leadership, you will conduct market analysis, financial modeling, and KPI tracking to inform decision-making and support growth initiatives, including pricing, monetization, and market expansion strategies. You will also own internal and external communications, such as monthly and quarterly business reviews, ensuring stakeholders are aligned and informed. Strong relationships with internal teams and external partners will be essential to achieving business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading PMO functions or project management teams.
  • At least 10 years of experience in business operations, corporate strategy, consulting, venture capital, private equity, or a related field, with at least 4 years in an operational or execution-focused role.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of complex, ambiguous problems and turn them into actionable plans.
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem in Singapore/ASEAN, including digital wallets, cross-border e-commerce, and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong prioritization and execution discipline.
