Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the Company
My client is an industry leader in the asset inspection and space security field. They're looking for a strong cloud infrastructure engineer to support their state-of-the-art software application infrastructure in the cloud

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, primarily Terraform.
  • Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems as well as cloud environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Be the advocate for DevOps methodologies and security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards across infrastructure components.


Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Expert in Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of AWS account governance and proficiency in configuring AWS networking, including Control Tower, organizational units, and service control policies.
  • Proficient in configuring AWS networking and logging services such as VPC flow logs, Direct Connect, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Solid background in Unix/Linux system administration.
  • Skilled in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, and shell scripting for automation tasks along with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git and a strong understanding of GitOps practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, self-driven and eager to continuously learn and adopt new technologies.
