Commodities Front Office Developer

Job description

Our client is a leading Commodities Trading firm with their global headquarters based in Singapore and enjoys a strong global presence.

They are currently looking for a Commodities Front Office Developer within their Technology Group. Reporting to the Manager, you will be accountable for working closely with the Front Office team including Traders and Portfolio Managers to develop a range of tools and applications. You will utilize various software engineering techniques such as Integration Testing, CI/CD, automated deployment to build high quality and comprehensive systems. You will also act as the 3rd line of support for any complex technical issues encountered by the business.

To qualify, you must have the following:

  • Holds at least a bachelor's degree in computer engineering or other related fields of study
  • Has at least 3 years of software development experience ideally within the Commodities industry
  • Strong technical expertise in using C#/.NET core, WCF, Python, SQL, Angular/React,
  • Good business domain knowledge ideally in LNG, Oil, Coal or similar products
  • Good working exposure to tools such as Azure DevOps, SpecFlow/Cucumber, Docker/Kubernetes
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure or AWS would be a plus
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage with Front Office business stakeholders such as Traders and Portfolio Managers
