Data Engineer

Job description


My client is a Singapore-based proprietary trading company. They are looking for a Data Engineer with 2-5years of working experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain data pipelines for market, transaction, reference, and other data.
  • Perform necessary data cleansing and transformation to enhance data quality.
  • Collaborate with traders and researchers for efficient data consumption and analysis.
  • Deploy new data models for insightful and actionable analytics across the firm.
  • Manage the entire data processing system and advise on necessary infrastructure changes.


Attributes:

  • Clear thinking, quick learning, problem-solving ability, and adept at working independently.
  • Effective communication and a propensity for asking insightful questions.
  • Development experience in multiple programming languages, preferably diverse types (e.g., strongly versus dynamically typed, functional versus object-oriented).
  • Familiarity with software development practices and excellent teamwork skills.
  • Experience with databases and SQL.
  • Proficiency in stream processing.
