Data Engineer (based in Bangalore)

Job description

Our client, a leading global investment management firm is looking for a Data Engineer to join their latency-critical trading group, working alongside top-tier engineers, data scientists, and quantitative researchers.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure high-quality market data, identify gaps, and analyze trends in latency and data rate.
  • Conduct exchange microstructure research, build data tools, and clean historical datasets for analysis.
  • Manage large data sets in hybrid cloud environments, enhance system performance, and integrate C++ analytics into Python.

Job Requirement

  • Ph.D. or Master's in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the financial/Fin-tech industry.
  • Experience with systematic investing teams and handling high-frequency/low-latency trading data is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, SQL, and data analysis tools like R, MatLab, and PyTorch.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and statistical testing skills.
