My client is a prestigious global investment management firm offering a dynamic and challenging environment for professionals seeking growth in their careers. We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join the Middle Office team in Bangalore. The role focuses on enhancing risk and control processes by utilizing machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative AI. You will develop ML models, automate tasks, and collaborate with teams to improve operational efficiency in managing the trade lifecycle and market risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • 4-7 years of practical experience in machine learning, with a deep emphasis on natural language processing (NLP) and large language model (LLM) applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries and APIs, including Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Numpy, SciPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
  • Hands-on experience with NLP tools like NLTK, spaCy, TextBlob, and other open-source solutions.
  • Strong experience of LLM architectures like Transformer, BERT, and GPT, along with experience in training or fine-tuning such models.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, risk management practices, and regulatory standards preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate efficiently with teams and stakeholders.
