Our client is a leading global financial institution with a strong reputation and extensive network in the financial industry. They provide a wide range of services in investment banking, securities brokerage, and asset management. With a focus on innovation and client-centric solutions, they offer comprehensive financial products and services to institutional investors, corporations, and individuals worldwide.

They are looking for a Director, Information Security to join the team. Reporting to the Asia Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), you will have a pivotal responsibility in upholding the security and reliability of their information systems. You will collaborate with senior management to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies in alignment with business objectives. You will monitor industry trends, emerging threats, and regulatory changes, and adapt security practices accordingly. You will be involved in conducting regular risk assessments across applications and infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing effective measures to mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You will also oversee incident response and disaster recovery plans, coordinating timely responses to security incidents, and fostering a security-conscious culture through awareness programs and training for employees.

To qualify, you must have the following:

  • Hold at least a bachelor's degree in Information Security or other related fields of study. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CRISC is a plus.
  • Have over 8 years of working experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, policy formulation, governance oversight, audit, and risk management in the financial industry.
  • Familiarity with cyber security regulations, such as SFC and MAS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability in exercising sound technical and organisational judgment to evaluate and solve complex problems.
