Job description
Role Overview
The Director of Construction & Development, APAC leads architecture and construction projects across the Asia Pacific region, overseeing full project lifecycles from planning to delivery. The role ensures brand compliance, quality, cost control, and timely completion of multiple resort and mixed-use development projects. Operating with high autonomy, this position serves as the single point of accountability for project success, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end project management for resort and real estate developments, from planning through completion.
Develop contracting and delivery strategies balancing cost, quality, and risk.
Ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and brand guidelines.
Manage multiple concurrent projects across different countries, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Lead coordination between design, construction, operations, and sales teams.
Prepare and present progress reports and business cases to senior management and stakeholders.
Build strong partnerships with consultants, contractors, and internal departments to achieve business goals.
Drive process improvements and share best practices across regional project teams.
Ideal Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture (professional registration preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in development or project management within construction or hospitality sectors.
Proven track record managing complex, multi-site projects across Asia Pacific.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and financial acumen.
Skilled in contract negotiation, scheduling, and cost control.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities within a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Procore, Primavera, etc.).
Willingness to travel regionally (up to 50%).
