Director, Senior Backend Software Engineer/Development Lead

Our client is a well-renowned financial services institution with over 15 years of history and enjoys a strong global presence, with their main headquarters based in Singapore.

An exciting opportunity has come up in the firm and they are currently looking for a Director, Senior Backend Software Engineer/development lead for their Technology function. Reporting to the Head of Quant Development, you will play a highly critical role to develop and deliver technology solutions for their Front Office business, which includes Risk, Pricing and Trading based on their requirements. You will be expected to be still technically hands-on in coding, while managing a small team of talented engineers to drive and adopt new technologies across the region through collaborating with senior stakeholders.

To qualify, you must have the following:

  • Holds at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or other related fields of study
  • Has at least 10 years of experience in developing backend applications for Trading platforms or similar systems using either C# or C++ within the investment banking/buy-side/HFT/Technology industry
  • Has at least 5 to 10 years of experience with Microservices, APIs, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS/GCP
  • Proven track record of having at least 2 years of experience leading a team of developers
  • Good expertise in using C#/.NET to develop tools for Linux-based platforms
  • Experience working with Tick Data, Relational databases and NoSQL
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage with senior business stakeholders and C-level leaders, while influencing change across all levels
