Engineering Lead (Financial System)

About The Company

We are partnering with one of the fast-growing unicorns in Fintech space, hiring an Engineering Lead/ Technology Expert to re-innovate their Financial Flow and Fund Security.

Location: Singapore or Asia

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Fund Flow Optimization
• Map and analyze fund movement across the platform. Identify risks, inefficiencies, and deliver clear, actionable improvements.
• System Design & Risk Controls
• Shape secure, compliant system architectures. Influence design decisions with a focus on fund safety and operational resilience.
• Reconciliation & Monitoring
• Build automated reconciliation and real-time anomaly detection systems. Ensure accuracy, traceability, and early risk identification.
• Incident Response
• Lead technical response to fund-related incidents. Drive resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of long-term fixes.
• Cross-Team Alignment
• Collaborate across Finance, Risk, and Tech. Communicate complex risks clearly and drive stakeholder alignment on fund security strategy.

What You'll Need:

• At least 10 years experience in Software Engineering/ Tech/ Product/ Architecture/ IT roles with exposure of fund systems, financial system/ infrastructure/ treasury system etc., from digital finance or related space such as fintech, banking, investment, payments, financial services, trading, stock exchange etc.
• Strong coding skills in Java, Python, or C++; experienced in scalable, secure systems.
• Mandarin skills is a must to handle both internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiar with distributed systems, microservices, high-concurrency and high-performance system development.
• Deep understanding of financial industry regulations, fund flows, reconciliation, and financial risk controls.
• Good communication skills, be able to align technical decisions with business and compliance needs.
• Track record in incident response, root cause analysis, and building lasting fixes is highly preferred.
