Executive Director, Head of Cloud Engineering & Delivery wanted for a leading global bank!

Our client is a leading global bank with over 100 years of longstanding history and enjoys a strong global presence across many countries.

As the company is embarking on a Cloud and Digital Transformation journey, they are looking for a high- caliber Senior Cloud Engineering Technologist to lead their Cloud Integration Journey globally. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Cloud Platform, you will be responsible for defining the roadmap and leading the design, implementation and migration of integration services to the various Public Cloud offerings such as Azure and AWS globally. You will be expected to build relationships with C- level and Group level stakeholders in the technology vertical and offer strong technical expertise on the various public cloud offerings in the current market and gain buy - in from them for this journey.

To qualify, you must have the following:

  • Holds at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or other related fields of study
  • Has at least 10 years of Cloud Engineering/ experience, with at least 5 years of technical leadership experience in leading large scale - cloud transformation programmes up to global level
  • Strong technical expertise in distributed systems concepts and APIs
  • Proven track record in delivering Cloud - native solutions involving infrastructure, operating systems, networking, container technologies and application platforms
  • Strong hands - on programming experience in Java, C/ C++, Go or Python
  • Proven SME in Public Cloud Technologies, i.e. AWS and Azure
  • Good knowledge in using container tools such as Kubernetes or Docker
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with senior management and gain buy- in
