Finance Associate (Mumbai)

Job description

A leading global quantitative trading firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its Mumbai Accounting team. This role supports core accounting, reporting, and finance operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily P&L, cash, and position reconciliations
  • Manage month-end close, including financial statements, accruals, and capital allocations
  • Support automated reporting and reconciliation using SQL, Python, and Excel
  • Assist with audits and financial reporting under Indian GAAP
  • Partner with tax teams on filings and compliance requirements
  • Oversee cash, collateral, and banking activities, including forecasting
  • Prepare regulatory reports and support capital movements
  • Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc reporting

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in a regulated financial services environment
  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP (US GAAP a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills; SQL/VBA preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across global teams
