Fund Controller

My client is a well-respected international real estate firm with an international presence. They are looking to strengthen their finance function by adding a Fund Controller to their team.

You will be working as an individual contributor, within the finance team.

Scope of Work

• Review accounting and management reports for holding companies in Singapore by service providers
• Review quarterly consolidation accounts provided by service providers
• Assist in preparation for quarterly investor report for Funds and co-investments
• Liaise with tax advisors on tax filing and submission
• Prepare quarterly reports and ad-hoc deliverables requested by investors and head office
• Review annual statutory and non-statutory financial statements for investment holding companies and limited partnerships in Singapore
• Liaise with external auditors to get the annual statutory and non-statutory financial statements signed off by auditors and management letter issues resolved
• Handle corporate secretarial functions for investment holding companies
• Work with analyst to determine projected capital calls and expected distribution amounts
• Review capital call and distribution notices prepared by service providers
• Review actual vs budget results
• Review and approve payments
• Cash management of the Fund and each investment
• Support deal acquisition and divestment by providing Finance related information
• Review overall financial controls and suggest improvements
• Assist in any ad-hoc projects assigned

Requirements

• A good university degree in the area of accounting and/or a CPA holder
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with experience in a public accounting firm within the Audit function
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Meticulous with details and accurate with numbers
• Possess an analytical mind, results-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment
• Possess strong learning agility and an eagerness to pick up new challenges
• Independent and able to initiate
