Global Material Supply Director

Our client is one of the world's largest apparel and fashion companies with diverse portfolio and brands. They are now keen to look for a Global Material Supply Director to manage an efficient material supply model.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build the material supply strategy for all brands (across more than 200 suppliers).
• Ensure reliable delivery of material for production by working closely with material and finished goods vendors.
• Partner cross-functionally with sourcing and quality leaders in managing all aspects of material quality.
• Act as the key liaison for product development and sourcing leadership.
• Support material innovation.
• Seek to identify and institutionalize best practices to increase operational efficiency across brands.
• Lead material cost negotiation strategy by establishing cost targets.
• Establish annual material cost savings targets.
• Lead, manage and own all supplier relationship.
• Build innovative solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally in selection of suppliers and materials.

Qualifications:

• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence.
• Understanding of textile related commodities (cotton, nylon, leather, etc.).
• Extensive experience in Apparel, Footwear and/or Sourcing organizations.
• Proven record of leadership in a multi-national environment.
