Global Payroll Director

Our client is leading FMCG company with a global presence. As the business is growing and they are looking to advance their time & Pay strategy, they are looking for a Strategic Payroll Director to come in and work with stakeholders across the globe to define and implement quality standard and KPIs to manage the team and vendors to scale the company's growth.

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior HR Director, you will partner with the leaders and team across HR globally to build a robust APAC strategy, roadmap and organization to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality time & pay services for the needs of today and of the future. You will provide leadership and oversight across APAC to ensure compliance, timely and accurate pay for all employees. You will also lead, coach and drive the managers and teams within Payroll function and establish end-to-end processes and audit steps from time capture through to pay, and the hand-off to finance for recording in GL. You will partner with Finance, controlling, compliance and tax to ensure the accurate distribution and accounting of all investments in Total rewards. You will ensure payroll tax payments and withholdings are in compliance with local legislation, leading monthly and year-end activities and payment reconciliation with local government agencies. In addition, you will also research the best practices and consistently challenge the status quo by championing new and creative ideas through well-structured and supported point of view, balancing risk, reward and trade-offs.


Ideally, you possess a Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience in Payroll administration and payroll tax function. You must have a strong understanding of country level legislation and regulation across APAC. Ability to network, influence, understand challenges and develop effective responses to elevate to executive management teams. In Addition, you must be independent with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with the key stakeholders.
