Global Supply Chain Manager

My client is one of the key global pharmaceutical companies based in the US. They are looking to hire a Global Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Singapore. This role would have you collaborate with multiple stakeholders such as Contract Manufacturers, Supply and Operations teams to ensure smooth operation of supply chain processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supply Planning

  • Oversee planning, procurement, logistics and customs support for assigned product portfolio
  • Build robust relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to minimize costs and maximize production based on agreed production plan
  • Handle inventory management, deployment and resolve supply issues
  • Work closely with Site Operations team on areas such as supply/demand/price changes, resolving contract/vendor/customer issues, etc. Additionally, position as subject matter expert for all product specific supply chain activities
  • Utilize information from forecasts, available capacity and regulatory requirements to develop and maintain a rolling master schedule
  • Maintain constant contact with all relevant stakeholders to resolve issues, improve and streamline work procedures and meet performance objectives
  • Be flexible to lead a group of direct/indirect reports from time to time

Inventory Management

  • Oversee active and forecasted inventory at contract manufacturers, and identify potential issues such as unavailability, overstocking, slow moving inventory etc. and take appropriate actions to mitigate them
  • Work with Operations and Finance to set inventory target budget
    • Generate demand forecast and inventory targets to identify potential issues early on
    • Consolidate, verify and communicate forecasted volumes to be used
  • Generate inventory reconciliation sheet for audits, verify tolled reports against bill of materials, and calculate, post and review P&L on a monthly basis
  • Ensure global inventory management policies are followed

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Economics, Logistics or related fields
  • 5 years or more of experience in Planning ideally in a production plant setting within the pharmaceutical industry OR 10 years or more of experience in Supply Chain
  • Experience with Materials Management would be a bonus
  • Experience with production planning and inventory management optimization is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Office Excel is required. Experience with MS Access, SAP or other planning and reporting tools would be an advantage
  • APICS training certification is preferred
