With a strong mission in growing their employees, our client is a globally renowned insurer with a strong footprint in Asia. With their good positioning in the region, they are looking for a strong personal lines (Travel and A&H) professional to manage this highly profitable team.
Reporting to the Regional Head Personal Lines, you will be tasked to manage a team of underwriting producers in which you will provide guidance and directions to Portfolio Management, Distribution and Marketing initiatives. You will work independently in conceptualising and implementing business strategies to ensure that the top and bottom line target/budget is met. You will also be required to work closely with various departments such as Claims and IT to ensure business and operations are ran seamlessly. On top of building the business pipelines, you will also be tasked to recruit and train existing/new members for business growth as well as succession planning. Depending on the requirement of the regional head, you will also be required to report and account to the management on your business directions and decisions.
- Degree with at least 9 years of personal lines underwriting and business development experience in the Singapore context.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Travel and A&H business in the Singapore context.
- Management experience is a must.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
