Head of Cloud Engineering, Azure

Job description

Our client is one of the world's leading top financial services institutions headquartered in Singapore and has a long-standing history of over 20 years.

As part of their headcount expansion, they are seeking for a Head of Cloud Engineering (Azure) to join their Cloud Engineering team. Reporting to the Global Head, you will be responsible for leading the Azure Cloud Engineering team to build, maintain and run Azure Cloud platform foundation globally, including capabilities such as Cloud patterns, IAM, Security Controls etc. You will take ownership of developing the strategic direction and roadmap for the Azure Cloud platform aligning with the business objectives across the bank. Last but not least, you will also be expected to partner with senior leaders across various business units and external cloud partners/vendors to lead their Azure Cloud transformation journey to fruition.

To qualify, you must have the following:

  • Holds at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems or other related fields of study
  • Has at least 15-20 years of working experience, including 7 to 10 years of Azure Cloud experience ideally within the banking / financial services sector on an international level
  • A people leader that has managed global Azure Cloud Engineering teams (up to 40 people)
  • Strong experience in Enterprise infrastructure or Software Development with focus on enabling engineering teams
  • Sound knowledge of Cloud Computing and data platforms, including Big Data Architecture, AI/ML and CI/CD
  • Holds certifications and licenses associated with Microsoft Azure Cloud
