Head of Data Science

Our client is the No.1 largest supermarket chain in SG.
They have branding, storage, logistics, facilities, and full island-wide coverage.
They have e-commerce products and other digital products, currently, they decide to do digitalization thoroughly and plan to re-build up all digital products from scratch with a top-notch in-house engineering team. They are currently hiring urgently for Head of Data Science. They can offer very decent, hence will only target candidates from the best internet companies.

The ideal candidate should meet below requirements:

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science or any related discipline with 10 years of working experience.
• Experience leading a team, CoE team management is preferred.
• Experience interfacing with the senior management team with strong skills in influencing and driving business outcomes.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, big data/machine learning, data science, and excellent project management skills.
• Experienced with planning and managing data science projects in Batch and real-time environments with production and testing experiences.
• Outstanding relationship-building skills and ability to communicate complex subjects in concise simple language
• Excellent communication skills and extensive experiences of working cross-functionally with product managers, tech team, business partners
• R, Python, Java programming experience
• Big data platform development (Hadoop/Hive/Hbase/Spark, etc.)
