Head of Enterprise Applications - Project & Change

The Head of IT Applications plays a key role in heading the project and change function and working with department heads to understand business needs and identify technology solutions that improve how the organization operates. This person will work closely with project teams, internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and end users to lead the delivery, enhancement, and support of core business applications.

They'll oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of key software systems and stay on top of the latest in software development to drive efficiency and innovation across the business.

Beyond day-to-day operations, the Head of IT Applications contributes to long-term strategy-working with senior leadership to align technical plans with business goals.

This role requires someone who's strategic, analytical, and action oriented. They thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and consistently deliver with a strong focus on quality and user experience.

Most importantly, they're proactive, hands-on, and solution focused. "That's not my job" isn't part of their vocabulary.



Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation, improvement, and development of business systems such as ERP, CRM, accounting, HR systems, stakeholder portals, mobile apps, cloud-based platforms and any customized applications.
• Manage and resolve issues related to business application software, ensuring smooth and consistent operations.
• Provide day-to-day admin and support across all core applications.
• Develop user-friendly protocols and ensure that software tools are intuitive and accessible for all users.
• Work closely with both business leaders and IT teams to define the strategic direction for current and future applications.
• Understand stakeholder needs and identify IT solutions that support better operations and business outcomes.
• Review business processes and systems to identify areas where technology can improve efficiency, automation, or performance.
• Lead application-related projects from start to finish-ensuring deadlines, budgets, resources, and quality goals are met.
• Balance multiple project priorities while ensuring each project delivers value to its intended users.
• Oversee testing and evaluation for new applications to ensure they meet user needs and performance expectations.
• Define and enforce best practices and processes for using new applications across the business.
• Foster a strong tech-driven culture focused on system performance, agility, user experience, and security.
• Champion the adoption of innovative tools that drive productivity and user engagement.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT fields.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in Project Management and IT Management , including at least 5 years working with global IT vendors.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams (preferably with 3-5 or more direct reports).
• Strong background in enterprise software rollouts and customization-especially with CRM, LMS, and DRM systems.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics (must-have)
• Experience deploying enterprise applications on managed cloud environments is a plus.
• Strong technical foundation in MS Applications
