Head of Legal, Hedge Fund

A regional hedge fund is expanding in Singapore and looking to appoint Head of Legal.

As the Head of Legal, the incumbent will formulate and perfect the rules and regulations of the Company. He/she will Identify legal, regulatory, and reputation risks in transactions arising from the fund's business activities and Draft and review contracts and other legal documents, while promoting the standardization of the contracts for the firm. The successful applicant will act as the Legal Department's representative to and provide support to maintain deep and broad view of the financial crimes issues and help proactively spot and address legal risks and identify gaps and inconsistencies when they may arise.

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Minimum 7 years PQE as well as relevant working experience in a global bank or hedge fund
• Exposure to SEA and North Asia
• Experience with drafting / negotiating legal documents
• Ability to be a self-starter and innovator
• Prior leadership and people management experience
