Our client is a worlwide Pharmaceutical group. With a fast development in Asia, Kuala Lumpur office is expanding his team. As an Indirect Procurement Manager, you are responsible to lead the purchasing strategy in order to ensure cost effective, timely, services facilities and procurement of goods. You will report to the Head of Procurement based in Kuala Lumpur. One of your main responsability will be to develop the relationship with all stakeholders and understand their needs and be able to influence in the vendor selection process.

Your responsabilities are:

  • Maintain and identify cost opportunities for cost reductions, purchasing (including: travel, meeting, events, IT, HR,...) and resolve issues raised in Procurement audit reports
  • Lead and collaborate procurement function within cluster countries, and business partnering with each country's stakeholders
  • 30-40% travel in the cluster countries to meet face to face the clients
  • Lead the preparation, solicit quotations and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions
  • Lead the evaluation of competitive offerings to determine the overall best offer for a product or service
  • Develop and drive procurement plans and make decisions necessary to purchase products & services
  • Drive supplier performance through the application of appropriate supplier management measures and methods
  • Conduct appropriate due diligence process & financial evaluation of suppliers

To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • 6 to 8 years experience in Indirect Procurement, procurement process, and category management
  • Fluency in English and in Vietnamese to liaise with Vietnamese counterparts
  • Business partnering skill with proven track records of building relationship and influencing senior business stakeholders for decision making
  • Ability to set strategic procurement direction with relevant business units
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively and roficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Procurement and other business related systems, e.g. SAP, Ariba, Contract Management System
