About the company

We are working with an established Asian Private Equity firm with a successful track record who are looking to add an Investment Analyst/Associate to their Investment team in South Korea. Singaporean candidates who are interested can also apply here as we are recruiting for their Singapore office too.

Key responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential investment opportunities in South Korea.
  • Analyze industry trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscapes.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on potential investments.

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

  • Support Senior Management in identifying and sourcing potential investment opportunities through networking, industry events, and market analysis.
  • Conduct initial screening and assessment of investment opportunities.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis, including modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis.

Due Diligence:

  • Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal aspects.
  • Engage with third-party advisors (legal, accounting, industry experts) to ensure thorough due diligence.
  • Prepare detailed due diligence reports and present findings to the investment committee.

Transaction Execution:

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating investment terms and agreements.
  • Support the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
  • Manage transaction processes, including documentation and closing procedures.

Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in developing and implementing value creation strategies for portfolio companies.
  • Prepare regular portfolio reviews and reports for senior management and investors.

Requirements

  • At least 2-5 years of experience within the Private Equity industry
  • Experience within South Korean markets for Korea role and SEA for Singapore role
  • A bachelors' degree in any discipline
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Good multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
