IT Operations Engineer

Overview

We are partnering with a leading global quantitative trading firm to hire an experienced IT Operations Engineer. This role sits within the IT team and focuses on delivering high-quality technical support to internal users, while driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and combines strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-user technical support across global offices, troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues
• Act as an escalation point for complex issues, particularly related to Windows environments
• Design and implement automation solutions to streamline repetitive IT support tasks
• Administer and support core SaaS platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira, Slack, and Zoom
• Support onboarding by provisioning user accounts, hardware, and system access
• Manage IT assets, including tracking, lifecycle management, and compliance
• Maintain and improve internal documentation and knowledge base
• Perform on-site support including workstation setup, hardware refresh, and cable management
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support outside business hours when required

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT Support or IT Operations within fast-paced environments
• Strong proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
• Hands-on experience managing SaaS tools (e.g. Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom)
• Familiarity with Git and basic understanding of developer workflows (e.g. CI/CD)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to work on-site (up to 80%), with occasional travel if required
• Physically able to handle IT equipment (up to 12kg)
