IT Project Manager (Fintech)

I am partnering with a giant in the fintech industry, known for delivering innovative digital payment solutions that impact millions across the region.

They are looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead end-to-end project delivery across key initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys startup environments, loves solving complex problems, and can confidently work with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage full project lifecycles - ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.
  • Build and maintain clear, detailed project plans (tasks, milestones, resources, timelines).
  • Monitor project progress closely, flag issues early, and drive solutions to keep things moving.
  • Communicate key updates and potential risks to all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Identify and address risks related to payments, compliance, fraud, and security (e.g., PCI-DSS, AML/KYC, PSD2).
  • Work closely with internal teams like product, development, QA, and business to align on goals and outcomes.
  • Run effective meetings - from project kick-offs to weekly check-ins and post-launch reviews.
  • Build a collaborative, transparent team environment where communication flows smoothly.
  • Resolve any challenges or blockers that may impact timelines or deliverables.
  • Oversee resource allocation, including internal team bandwidth, external vendors, and budgets.
  • Uphold project management best practices, while constantly seeking areas for process improvement.
  • Mentor and support junior project team members where needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of project management experience, preferably in the tech or fintech space.
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, tools, and methodologies (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
  • Familiarity with compliance standards in the fintech/payments space (PCI-DSS, PSD2, AML/KYC).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities , comfortable managing several projects at once.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can handle complexity and adapt quickly.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with a positive, can-do mindset.
