Logistics Specialist

In this role, you will manage daily logistics operations, optimise processes, collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders, and ensure smooth, compliant movement of goods across markets. You'll play a key part in cost optimisation, service issue resolution, and supporting strategic logistics initiatives across the business.

Logistics Operations & Coordination

  • Oversee daily logistics functions-including warehousing, transportation, inventory and end‑to‑end supply chain activities.
  • Coordinate with 3PL partners, freight providers and internal teams to ensure operational excellence.

Process & Efficiency Improvement

  • Review and enhance SOPs to drive accuracy, consistency, and improved logistics performance.

Vendor Management & Cost Optimisation

  • Source and negotiate freight quotations for bids and tenders.
  • Monitor freight performance, customs clearance and compliance while minimising costs.

Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Lead investigations for logistics‑related issues and communicate timely updates.
  • Work closely with Global HQ, regional offices, sales teams and Shared Service Centers to expedite shipments and resolve challenges.

Support for Global & Local Initiatives

  • Contribute to initiatives such as HS code standardisation, Asia Road Network (ARN), modal shifts, and sustainability‑focused packing improvements.

Training & Governance

  • Provide operational training and guidance to SSC teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, trade, shipping regulations and support audits

Reporting & Administration

  • Consolidate and report monthly logistics‑related cost savings to Global Business Services (GBS) HQ.
  • Support ad‑hoc projects and cross‑functional improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines.
  • 5-6 years' experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably with strong 3PL management exposure.
  • Strong understanding of import/export documentation, trade compliance, and global logistics.
  • Proficiency in logistics systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, EWM, Oracle) and Microsoft Office tools including PowerApps and Power Automate.
  • Knowledge export controls, or quality management systems is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS / CPIM / CSCP are advantageous.
