Manager - IT PMO (AI & Business Transformation)

Overview

A leading insurance organisation is looking for a Manager - Business Innovation Partner (AI & Business Transformation) to act as a strategic bridge between regional business teams and technology. This is a high-visibility role focused on driving innovation initiatives across the region and translating business priorities into practical, outcome-driven strategies.

The role will play a key part in shaping innovation and AI-enabled transformation, working closely with senior stakeholders across business, strategy, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted business partner to regional stakeholders, understanding business priorities and converting them into innovation initiatives
  • Support the development and execution of innovation and AI-driven transformation strategies
  • Collaborate with strategy and planning teams to contribute to regional roadmaps and execution plans
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI (including AI agents and emerging capabilities) to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and commercial outcomes
  • Serve as a connector between business and IT, ensuring strong alignment without being deeply technical
  • Drive innovation discussions using strong commercial and industry language
  • Remain tool-agnostic when evaluating solutions, focusing on business outcomes rather than technology for technology's sake
  • Engage regional markets to ensure initiatives are practical, scalable, and aligned with local needs

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in insurance, consulting, business transformation, innovation, or related roles
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is strongly preferred
  • Good understanding of AI concepts and enterprise AI applications (hands-on coding not required)
  • Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to communicate at a strategic level
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across regional or multi-market environment
