[MNC Chemical] Electrical Engineer

Role Overview:

Oversee and ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems up to 66kV in a chemical plant setting. Provide technical leadership across maintenance, troubleshooting, and project execution, while supporting safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems (HV/LV motors, substations, transformers, UPS, MCC, PLCs)

  • Conduct troubleshooting and support production-related issues

  • Plan and implement preventive/corrective maintenance

  • Provide cost estimates and engineering support for facility projects

  • Support E&I safety compliance and train maintenance teams

  • Stay current with industry trends in electrical safety and systems

  • Participate in on-call engineering duties

Ideal Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Control Engineering

  • 2-5 years' experience in chemical/petrochemical electrical engineering

  • Hands-on experience with Siemens GIS/SCS and electrical drawings

  • Strong safety mindset, communication skills, and cross-cultural adaptability

  • Willingness to work on Jurong Island and perform on-call duties

  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and technical documentation (P&ID, E&I drawings)
