[Pharmaceutical Manufacturing] Senior Process Engineer

Role Overview

As a member of dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing and modifying process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards. Your production engineering skills will be essential in recommending and implementing improvements, modifications, or additions to solve problems. You will review product requirements for development compatibility and help determine optimum costs and production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Manufacturing/Operating Instructions and necessary Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot process control system recipes/models.
  • Conduct technical assessments for process evaluations.
  • Investigate, report, and troubleshoot quality and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) issues observed during manufacturing or batch record reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor robust preventive measures for processing issues.
  • Ensure adherence to site safety and quality standards proactively.
  • Monitor, identify, develop, and implement improvements in processes and equipment.
  • Regularly communicate process updates to plant personnel.
  • Train process technicians on processes and procedures as required.
  • Own one or more pieces of equipment/GMP systems in production and present system overviews with evidence of compliance to internal and external auditors.

Ideal requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, or a degree in Science with a major in Chemistry.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Pharmaceutical manufacturing or Biological environment.
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
