Procurement Manager (Fresh food, Central)

Our client is well-known company in the food and beverage industry, committed to delivering top-quality products to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Scout and assess potential suppliers of seafood and meat products both locally and internationally.
  • Procurement Strategy Development: Create and execute procurement strategies to fulfil the company's sourcing needs, including supplier selection and contract negotiation.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and swift resolution of any issues.
  • Inventory Analysis and Forecasting: Analyse, monitor, and forecast inventory levels to optimise stock management and minimise shortages.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about food regulations and import license requirements to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Cost Savings and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements, implementing initiatives and tracking performance metrics.
  • Market Trends Awareness: Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments related to food sourcing and importing.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in procurement or supply chain management within the F&B industry.
  • Strong understanding of the F&B market, including trends, suppliers, and competitive landscape.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation, vendor management, and procurement process optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant food safety and quality assurance standards and regulations.
