Product Development Engineer

Our client is a multinational company seeking experienced Senior Staff Product Development Engineer to lead the testability and manufacturability efforts of advanced Wireless SoC products, from feasibility through production ramp and high‑volume manufacturing. This role involves close collaboration with global design, test, and engineering teams to ensure smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) and high‑quality production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all product activities throughout the NPI process.
• Drive the transition of products from development into volume production.
• Participate in testability reviews and ensure production test coverage aligns with the test plan.
• Partner with test engineering on qualification, characterization, and production test program development.
• Develop product characterization plans and oversee testing, data analysis, and reporting.
• Define and manage product qualification requirements (e.g., package qualification, burn‑in, ESD, latch‑up).
• Lead ongoing product cost‑reduction and quality‑improvement initiatives, including test‑time optimization, yield improvement, and DPPM reduction.
• Support customer return investigations by coordinating failure analysis and test improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 10+ years of IC development or production experience.
• Strong understanding of IC design, test, verification, layout, wafer processing, assembly, reliability, and yield.
• Deep knowledge of RF, mixed-signal, and digital principles.
• Experience with CMOS process technologies in fabless environments.
• Understanding of process variation impacts on performance, quality, and yield.
• Knowledge of DfT, DfM, and DfA methodologies.
• Proficient in statistical data analysis and problem-solving.
• Strong analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
