Production Manager (Chemical, Tuas)

As a Production Manager, it involves overseeing the safety, quality, and environmental performance of a production plant, ensuring compliance with relevant certifications, and initiating continuous improvement processes.

Job description

• Oversee the safety, quality, environmental and energy performance of the manufacturing facility, managing production processes and ensuring they are carried out under controlled conditions.
• Identify annual or ongoing training needs and ensure that all production personnel are adequately trained to perform their duties.
• Initiate and follow up corrective and preventive actions in response to customer complaints, audit findings or other stakeholder complaints.
• Review materials and processes for continuous improvement.
• Perform capacity analysis and document the process.
• Monitor resource usage to minimise cost, material and energy waste.
• Assist with additional tasks assigned by other departments on an ad hoc basis.
• Interview, review and evaluate the performance of new staff.

Job Requirements

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' production management experience.
• Willingness to work in Tuas.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate with English and Mandarin speaking counterparts.
