Regional Head of Rail Signaling Design

🔹 Job Overview

This is a senior leadership role that combines strong technical expertise with strategic team management. The position focuses on leading the engineering function for signalling system design and delivery, ensuring technical excellence and project success across the various regions. The ideal candidate will bring a deep background in rail signalling, hands-on design experience, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing engineering team.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Authority for signalling subsystems including Automatic Train Control (ATC), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), Radio Systems, Interlocking (IXL), and Signalling Trackside Units, including Grade of Automation 4 (GoA4) applications.

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for project execution in Singapore and the ASEAN region, including hands-on site support when necessary.

• Take ownership of engineering reviews, approvals, and technical statements required for project delivery.

• Lead, manage, and develop a multi-functional engineering team, building a self-sustaining engineering center to support both ongoing projects and future opportunities.

• Establish and maintain best-in-class signalling expertise and drive continuous process improvement within the engineering function.

• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning within the department.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and deliver key performance objectives for the engineering team.

• Actively promote and advocate the company's signalling technologies and solutions to strengthen competitive positioning in tenders and project pursuits.

🔹 Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.

• Professional experience in rail signalling, with in-depth knowledge of signalling system design and implementation.

• Proven leadership experience in managing and developing engineering teams both functionally and disciplinarily.

• Strong background in cross-functional collaboration and professional management of internal and external resources.

• Hands-on experience working in diverse cultural and regional environments, particularly within the ASEAN market.

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, structured system development approaches, and system safety principles.

• Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with software, hardware, system integration, and IT security within the context of signalling solutions.
