Our client, a Swiss-headquartered fast-growing fin-tech firm, is looking to expand their engineering team in Singapore now. Though they are functioning as an investment bank, they are authentically tech driven and define themselves as a fin-tech firm instead of traditional financial institute. Currently, they have 500+ employees globally and 60+ of them are based in their APAC headquarter: Singapore.
The hiring team in Singapore is a very critical one and they are only targeting best engineers. The application they are working on will be used to support all 7 different systems across the whole organization. Scalability is one of their key concern considering the volume of transaction is soaring. A broad scope of financial domain knowledge will also be a big plus. Tech-wise, they are mainly using Scala/Akka. Top notch candidates with other programming language backgrounds will also be considered. Their interview is very challenging and focusing on algorithms, data structure and problem-solving. They are willing to offer decently for the right.
Ideal candidate should have below skills
- Solid computer science fundamental (algorithms, data structures, etc.)
- Expert in at least one back-end programming language, Scala will be highly preferred
- Financial domain knowledge and strong interest in financial domain will be a big plus
- Experience with large scale applications will be a big plus
- Good English communication is essential
