Senior Data Scientist (Manufacturing)

Overview

We are partnering with a leading global technology company in the semiconductor industry to hire a Senior Data Scientist.

This role focuses on applying data science, machine learning, and optimization techniques to improve manufacturing efficiency, production yield, and operational performance in a highly complex, data-rich environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large-scale operational and manufacturing datasets to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to integrate and process data from multiple sources
  • Design and implement simulation models (e.g. digital twin environments) to optimize workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Work with 3D simulation platforms (e.g. Omniverse or similar) to model and improve real world systems
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL
  • Hands-on experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis
  • Exposure to optimization techniques (e.g. linear programming, operations research) or simulation is highly preferred
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets in a production environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
  • Good communication skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
