Senior Legal Counsel - ESG & Sustainability

Our client is a global e-commerce firm, looking for a Senior Legal Counsel with experience in ESG and Sustainability to join their Regional team in Singapore.



Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for ESG, Sustainability and regulatory matters in Southeast Asia region. Responsibilities include reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements. Work closely with public affairs team to develop strategies and policies related to sustainability, ESG, and regulatory matters. Support the implementation of those policies and present legal reports to internal stakeholders.



Requirements:

• Qualified to practice law and in good standing in Singapore, Hong Kong, US, UK, or the EU
• At least 7 PQE, ideally in both private practice and in-house experience
• Good legal drafting and research skills
• Experience in handling ESG, sustainability or regulatory matters
• Ability to adapt to changes and willing to learn new things in a high growth environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to converse in Mandarin as interaction with Chinese clients is required
