Senior Loss Prevention Engineer

Our clients are a world leading pharmaceutical company. They're looking for Senior Loss Prevention Engineer to join their team in Singapore. The incumbent is responsible for leading and driving Fire Safety & Emergency Management, Business Continuity Management and Security Management Systems to ensure compliance of all applicable laws and regulations, codes of practices and EHS & Security Standards and provide technical guidance to support plant operations

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and train Shift Site Incident Commanders & Shift Emergency Response Teams (SERTs) as well as contract security personnel and carry out performance management review with their direct reports (e.g., Contract Shift Security Officers).
• Make sure that all business activities follow the applicable local fire safety, loss prevention and security laws & regulations, and company EHS and Global Security Standards and that the regulatory permits/licenses are kept up to date.
• Take up the role and duties and responsibilities of 'Fire Safety Manager' as stipulated in the Fire Safety Act.
• In terms of preventive maintenance, performance monitoring, and testing, ensure the operational readiness of fire protection, fire alarm, public address, and security surveillance systems.
• Oversee the contractor safety program, which includes contractor pre-qualification, safety induction, and a contractor safety committee, among other things.
• Develop performance indicators and establish a Physical Security Management System, as well as Loss Prevention and Emergency Response programs, to achieve continuous improvement.

Qualification & Work Experience:

• A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, Science or Technology, as well as a certificate in Fire Safety Engineering is preferred.
• At least 7 years of supervisory or leading role (as Fire Safety Manager Role) in security, or fire emergency organization; experience in pharmaceutical industry and/or petrochemical / chemicals manufacturing industry is advantageous.
• A Senior Loss Prevention Engineer must have more than 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Good knowledge and application of relevant regulatory laws and regulations, codes of practice, and/or National Fire Code is advantageous.
