A leading global technology company to hire a Senior MEMS Microphone Researcher to join their advanced R&D team. This is a high-impact role focused on next-generation acoustic MEMS innovation.

Role Overview

This position will drive the research and development of high-performance, directional MEMS microphones, contributing to cutting-edge acoustic solutions for consumer and intelligent hardware products.

You will play a key role across the full development cycle - from concept design and modelling to validation and product integration - working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of high-performance, directional MEMS microphone designs
  • Analyse industry trends and propose innovative, competitive acoustic architectures
  • Perform modelling and simulations to predict acoustic performance and optimise structural design
  • Collaborate with MEMS, ASIC, packaging, algorithm, and software teams to integrate solutions into products
  • Build experimental platforms and conduct testing/characterisation to validate performance
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related discipline
  • Strong foundation in acoustic and fluid mechanics principles
  • In-depth understanding of MEMS microphone design, including advantages and trade-offs of different microphone architectures
  • Hands-on experience with MEMS modelling and simulation tools
  • Familiarity with MEMS fabrication processes and cleanroom protocols
  • Strong problem-solving ability and cross-functional communication skills
