Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your work will support our PR objectives as an organization:

  • Create reach: Drive a world-class global PR program to cement our new brand positioning and attributes
  • Make a bold statement or take a strong PoV: Maximise visibility for the senior leadership team with personality PR
  • Make a difference with persona-based activity: Demonstrate how Finastra improves our target audience's lives

Your deliverables as Senior PR Manager, APAC will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Own your regional PR program and take responsibility for implementing activities in your market
  • Develop good working relationships with target business, financial services and technology journalists in your markets
  • Work with regional Solution and Field Marketing teams to provide tactical PR support for local marketing campaigns and events (including Finastra Universe) - maximizing PR opportunities wherever possible
  • Work with the PR agency(ies) in your region (as their first point of contact) to drive activity and respond to media requests
  • Write compelling communications including local press releases, blog posts, story pitches and award submissions
  • Blend corporate messaging and content with tailored local content to maximize visibility of the company
  • Craft differentiated messages and stories for the local market
  • Maintain a high level of informed industry knowledge and be able to news jack, responding to local trends
  • Identify hot topics we can take an opinion on, to ensure we are ahead of the curve and help you define upcoming activity
  • Hands on support and coaching for local spokespeople, including media training where required
  • Demonstrate PR success, striving to meet agreed regional and global KPIs
  • Work closely with the Customer Engagement team in London and the local sales team to develop APAC customer references pool
  • Operate using the company's best practice PR processes to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Ensure regional media coverage feeds into social channels
  • Help to boost internal visibility of media coverage and our PR programs
  • Support in preparing presentations, speeches and communications for key executives (MD and APAC CMO)
  • Support regional internal communications drafts e.g. new joiner announcements

Required Experience:

  • Proven B2B technology or financial services PR experience (agency or in-house)
  • Experience of working with the press, bloggers and social influencers in the Fintech space
  • Experience of integrated PR and social media activity to maximize reach
  • Degree in relevant discipline preferable
  • Fluent Mandarin preferable, but not essential
  • Well versed in crafting creative communications that result in solid, qualitative coverage
  • Comfortable in front of senior managers, advising executives and running workshops where necessary
  • Examples of using communications to increase brand awareness and raise executive profiles
  • Experience in running a press office function as well as thought leadership
  • Ability to work in a global collaboration environment - liaising with virtual teams
  • Prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage a PR program in line with company best practice
  • Deep understanding of how PR works in your region and the different requirements/journalist preferences across countries
  • Creative ability to tailor content for the region or generate unique campaigns where required
