Senior Security Engineer

Job description


My client is a technology company developing financial services for the digital assets sector.

I am looking for a Senior Security Engineer (manager level) based in Singapore to to design and deliver security solutions. The role reports to the Security Engineering Director.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the IT requirements through design and delivery of security solutions and services
  • Analyze requirements to design and engineer new security initiatives with in-house and third party products.
  • Ensure security solutions are built to the agreed security standards
  • Provide Level Three support for other teams on deployed security systems and tools
  • Provide performance metrics on existing security systems

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical IT Security roles.
  • BS/BA degree in Cyber security/Computer Science or related field.
  • CISSP/CISA/CISM or similar certifications.
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience on managing security appliances/tools including IDS/IPS, WAFs, Web Proxy, EDR, PAM, DLP, and anti-malware.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (especially Linux, but also Windows and Mac), and cyber security concepts as well as technologies.
  • Good scripting skills (Bash, Python, Java, etc.) and hands-on experience in tools automation.
  • Solid experience in securing Cloud environments such as AWS and GCP (Cloud Security Certification is a plus)
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes/Containers.
  • Ability to work across different regions.
