Senior Software Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer)

Our client is one of the leaders in the global payments industry and due to headcount expansion, they are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Site Reliability Engineering) to join their Product Engineering and SRE team. You will be expected to take on a Development and Operations role.

Your main responsibilities will include maintaining system health and reliability through improving code performance aspects, feature development and server management. Other responsibilities will include functional analysis, troubleshooting, as well as providing production and technical support, including L3 on-call support.

To qualify, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • At least 3 years of work experience using Java
  • Proficient in coding advanced scripts
  • Good experience with automation
  • Good experience with L3 troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of and experience withCI/CD tools and pipeline using Git/Jenkins
  • Good knowledge of and experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
  • Good knowledge of middleware such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

The following qualifications are added advantages:

  • Knowledge and understanding of NginX, CDN, Docker/Kubernetes or caching technologies
  • Experience with observability applications and log analysis tools such as Grafana, Tableau and Splunk
  • Experience with Linux systems and network analysis
