Senior Supply Chain Manager

A Senior Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the supply chain operations of an organization. As Senior Supply Chain Manager you would need to manage a wide range of responsibilities for the APAC market from overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and production to distribution and logistics. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, cost management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials throughout the organization.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Evaluate and optimize supply chain processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.

Procurement:

  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and goods to ensure quality, cost, and availability.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Optimize the distribution network for timely delivery to customers.
  • Monitor and improve transportation costs and routes.

Inventory Management:

  • Implement inventory control policies and systems.
  • Reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts.
  • Ensure accurate demand forecasting.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.
  • Set goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Cost Management:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Develop and manage supply chain budgets.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred).
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5-7 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Supply chain certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) may be preferred.
